Who doesn’t want a yellow dress, right!? Well, this one I made out of some thrifted fabric I paid $1 for. The pattern is the same as the other Spring dress I made. I’m in love with the vintage feel and the color!

The story behind this dress is that I saw one very similar to it in a store window. When I went in to ask how much it was it turned out to be almost $200. Maybe that’s in someone’s budget, but not mine.
So I made a quick trip to my local fabric store, bought a pattern and made my own. For $30.

I’ve been experimenting with a lot of burlap, lately. I bought a bunch of old coffee bags with amazing prints a couple of months ago and I’ve loved making them into pillows, flowers, coffee sleeves, bulletin boards and seat covers. It’s been such a fun experience, and now they get to be featured in this upcoming coffee shop in the area!
What do you guys think!?

Finished my new quilt! I challenged myself to make it for under $50 and totally met the challenge! The fabric for the squares I bought mostly at thrift stores and the remainder I bought at a local fabric store. The backing is a sheet I bought at Ross. Love making beautiful things out of nothing!
